Founders Story

THEATRE: The Hanover Theatre

Rick Porter, Troy Siebels Episode 15

Troy Siebels has been the president and CEO of The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts for over 17 years! He was tasked with raising money to renovate the theatre to bring it back to its former glory. Troy originally started to raise money based on what the arts do for the community. He soon found out that the local community didn't care about that as much as they cared about increasing the value in downtown Worcester. Troy was the first and only employee for the first three years of the theatre's life. As the Hanover Theatre grew Troy saw other opportunities to educate the community about live performing arts with the conservatory. There is a lot of information to listen to in this episode if you have ever wondered how the Hanover Theatre got started.
